We invite girls from underserved communities to participate is a day filled with sustainability education, a beach clean-up, lunch, and of course beach footy! Professional players join us for the day, to make this experience that much more impactful. We also provide the girls with t-shirts & water bottles to jump-start their good habits of eliminating single-use plastics.
“At Bellflower High School a majority of the population comes from low income households. The students do not get opportunities to be involved in extracurricular activities because of low funds. With Football For Her, these student-athletes are able to have access to high quality soccer training as well as be given the opportunity to meet professional athletes and be involved in amazing events like the beach clean-up. On the way home from the beach clean-up the players continued to rave about how exciting it was to meet professional soccer players. A couple of players also mentioned it was their first time in their life they had ever seen the ocean.”
